Trick-or-Treat for Unicef This Year

Since 1950, children around the world have helped others by trick or treating for UNICEF. Now, YOU can too! Instead of collecting candy, however, UNICEF asks that you trick or treat for monetary donations with specially designed orange UNICEF boxes. Kids can donate the funds to help provide other children with lifesaving medicine, proper nutrition, clean water, education, and emergency relief.

A total of $123 million dollars has been raised since this project began and this amount continues to rise as more and more kids participate. Of the $4 million raised in last year's Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign, nearly 70 percent was raised by young people volunteering through their schools, community groups, faith-based and other service organizations.

As parents become more health conscious and increasingly wary of candy from strangers, UNICEF offers this program as an excellent opportunity or possible alternative.
