Real Ghost Towns
A ghost town is a town that has been abandoned, usually because the economic activity that supported it has failed or because of natural or human-caused disasters. The word is sometimes used in a looser sense to include areas like Fitzwilliam, West Yorkshire, UK where the collapse of coal-mining prompted large-scale migration away from the area and left the village with a large proportion of derelicts.
